The Happy Valley Middle school boys were victorious Thursday night over the Jr. Highlanders by a score of 41-38. It was close one for the better part of all four quarters.

The Jr. Warriors looked to pull away in the first quarter by scoring the first five points of the game, but the Highlanders got on the scoreboard behind buckets from Malachi Benfield and Josh Blair — and a trey from Thomas Hicks. The first stanza ended with Happy Valley leading 12-7.
