Margie Vandeventer Boling

Margie Vandeventer Boling, 82, formerly of Bluff City, went home to be with her Lord, Tuesday, November 18, 2014, at Hermitage Health Center in Elizabethton.
She was born in Carter County, Tenn., a daughter of the late Luther and Victoria Ritchie Vandeventer. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Bruce Boling; a brother, Eugene Vandeventer; and a sister, Mareen Bowman.
Margie was a member of Chinquapin Grove Baptist Church. She was a loving mother and grandmother and liked decorating and writing poems.
Survivors include two daughters, Tammy Crumley and husband Michael, Johnson City, and Kathy Collins and husband Mike, Elizabethton; two sons, Gary Boling and wife Sonja, Bluff City, and Johnny Boling and wife Christina, Athens, Ga.; five grandchildren, Bryan Boling, Cody Collins and wife Juliana, Bruce Crumley, Joshua Boling and Jordan Boling; three sisters-in-law, Geraldine Vandeventer, Georgia Lee Lyons and Ethel Boling; and one brother-in-law, Charles Boling.

The funeral service for Mrs. Boling will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday, November 21, in the chapel of Tetrick Funeral Home, Bluff City, with Rev. Tony French officiating. The family will receive friends in the chapel from 1 until 2 p.m., prior to the service. The graveside service and interment will follow at Sunrise Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Bryan Boling, Cody Collins, Bruce Crumley, Joshua Boling, Michael Crumley and Mike Collins.
