Lucy Isaacs

Lucy Isaacs, 80, of Elizabethton, passed away on Tuesday, November 4, 2014, at Johnson City Medical Center following an extended illness.
Mrs. Isaacs was a native of Carter County and a daughter of the late J.H. and Carrie Lane McAninch. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Lynn Isaacs, in 1990, and by eight siblings.
Mrs. Isaacs was a homemaker and a member of Pleasant Beach Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband of 62 years, Ralph “Doc” Isaacs, of the home. Several nieces, nephews and sisters-in-law also survive. Also surviving is a special friend, Betty Montgomery.
A service to honor the life of Mrs. Isaacs will be conducted at 7 p.m. Thursday, November 6, in the Chapel of Peace of Tetrick Funeral Home, Elizabethton, with Pastor Mark Fowler and Pastor Bobby Stout officiating. The family will receive friends only at the funeral home from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday; there will be no receiving of friends at the residence. The graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday, November 7, in the Sunrise Cemetery, Bluff City. Active pallbearers will be selected from family and friends. Those wishing to attend the graveside service are asked to meet at Tetrick Funeral Home, Elizabethton, at 10 a.m. Friday to go in procession. The family requests in lieu of flowers and food, donations are made to Pleasant Beach Baptist Church, 108 Pleasant Beach Road, Elizabethton, TN 37643.
