The Legislative Affairs Committee of the Elizabethton/Carter County Chamber of Commerce will host a “Meet the Candidates” event at 7 p.m. Thursday in the T.A. Dugger Junior High School auditorium.
Candidates for Elizabethton City Council and Elizabethton Board of Education have been invited to share information regarding their qualifications, experience and goals for the position they are running for. A reception will follow in the cafeteria, giving the candidates an opportunity to interact with the community and answer questions at that time.
