Friday night began on an eerie note at Brown-Childress Stadium as the Johnson County marching band opened the game with its own rendition of the Twilight Zone theme — swirly-hypotonic flags included.
The Elizabethon Cyclones would provide their own scary music as they defeated the Johnson County Longhorns 42-13 while amassing 486 yards of total offense. Ethan Thomas led the way as he rushed for 166 yards and four touchdowns. Caleb Jones would explode for 114 yards and a TD on the ground.
