Judy Karan Guinn

Judy Karan Guinn, 67, of Johnson City, passed away Wednesday, October 1, 2014, at Appalachian Christian Village.
She was born in Waynesboro, Va., but had lived her entire life in Tennessee.
Judy was a 1965 graduate of Elizabethton High School. She was a homemaker and a member of Pinecrest Christian Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert W. Guinn, who died February 12, 1993.
Survivors include two daughters, Amy Yothers, Johnson City, and Ellen Brummitt, Charlotte, N.C.; a son, Robert W. Guinn Jr., Johnson City; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; and two brothers, Jack Dempsey and Robert “Bugs” Dempsey, both of Watauga.
A memorial service for Judy Karan Guinn will be conducted at 4 p.m. Sunday, October 5, at Memorial Funeral Chapel with Mr. Randy Carrier officiating. Interment will be at Washington County Memory Gardens at a later date. Honorary pallbearers will be her church family. The family would like to express a special “Thank You” to her neighbor, Allen Rosenbaum. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, prior to the service.
