The Unaka Jr. Rangers were able to clinch regular season champion’s status in the Little Watauga Conference Thursday night as they defeated the Hampton Jr. Bulldogs 38-12 at Goddard Field.
“I’m proud of my boys for the dedication they have shown this season,” said Unaka head coach Donald Ensor, whose team is 7-0 after going winless in 2013.
After a slow first half, Unaka was able to keep up momentum for the majority of the game as Garrett Stiltner rushed for roughly 144 yards, while putting in two touchdowns, one of which was 55-yard scramble through Hampton’s defense.
