The Lady Buffs might of looked like the lesser team on paper but they were the more impressive team on the field as they defeated the fighting Koalas of Columbia College 1-0 at Anglin Field on Wednesday.

Milligan, which improved to 2-5, played a physical and aggressive style of play that seemed to catch the 5-3 Fighting Koalas off guard.

“We’ve struggled to figure it out and for all the pieces to come together, so we are definitely not a 1-5 team,” Milligan head coach Lisa Buckley said. “The fact that we’ve been playing against good opposition has prepared us for these moments.”
