Mary Duncan Bowie

Ms. Mary Duncan Bowie passed away peacefully August 3, 2014, at Northside Hospital & Heart Institute, St. Petersburg, Fla., with her sons by her side.
Mary was born in Roanoke, Va. She was preceded in death by her mother, Mrs. Sally Cress Duncan Jones; her father, Clifton Duncan; and three siblings.
Survivors include her sons, Marc H. Banning (Terry) of Palm Harbor, and R. Morgan Bowie of Pinellas Park; grandson, James Banning (Dana) of St. Petersburg, and granddaughter, Crystal Ingoglia (Mark) of Palm Harbor; great-grandsons, Deni Haggerty and Ian Haggerty; great-granddaughters, Alexis Banning and Breanna Banning; sisters, Patricia Bowen (Wannis) of Frostproof and Kay Signorelli (Tom) of Seminole; a brother, Richard Duncan (Tommasina) of the Villages; and several nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life service was conducted August 16 at Memorial Park Funeral Home & Cemetery in Florida.
The family will receive friends at Tetrick Funeral Home, Elizabethton, at 9:30 a.m., prior to a procession to Happy Valley Memorial Park for a graveside service and interment to be conducted on Friday, August 22, at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to RCS Grace House in Mary’s name.
