Charles Richard Dugger

Charles Richard Dugger, 78, of Butler, Tenn., passed away on Wednesday, July 30, 2014, at Johnson City Medical Center.
He was born on October 29, 1935 to the late John Hamilton Dugger and Rebecca Alice Hicks Dugger.
In addition to his parents, Charles was preceded in death by his wife, Gladys Poole Dugger; sisters, Elva Tester, Betty Greer and Geraldine Wagner; and brothers, Warren Dugger, Bill Dugger and Kenneth Dugger.
Charles was a United States Army Veteran, where he served in the 82nd Airborne. He drove a truck for many years, farmed and logged wood. He also worked as a Lineman with Pike Electric.
Charles is survived by his special friend, Sharon Whitehead; daughter and son-in-law, Lori Ann and Gary E. Neely of Lenoir City, Tenn.; sons and daughter-in-law, Terry Allen Dugger of Butler, Tenn., and Charles William and Gail Dugger of Kingsport, Tenn.; sister-in-law, Gerleen Dugger; special grandchildren, Amber Renee Tolley, Charles Ronald Dugger and Brittany Michael; special nephew, Johnny Dugger; special friends, Mike McKinney and Robert “Bob” Garland; and many more nieces and nephews.
It was Charles’ wishes to be cremated and that no formal services be conducted. Condolences may be sent to the family through our website at www.mountaincityfh.com.
