James H. Buckles

James H. Buckles, 84, of Elizabethton, passed away on Thursday, February 13, 2014, at Ivy Hall Nursing Home.
He was the son of the late Eliga and Blonnie Buckles and was born in Carter County. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Margaret Smith, and a brother, Carmack Buckles.
Mr. Buckles retired from General Motors as a Quality Control Supervisor and was a member of Caldwell Springs Baptist Church.
Mr. Buckles was a United States Air Force Veteran. He was a member of the VFW Post 2166 in Elizabethton; The Amvets Post 0109 in Mentor, Ohio; The American Legion Hackler-Wood TN Post 145 in Bristol, Tenn.; and the Loyal Order of the Moose in Elizabethton.
Survivors include his wife, Dorothy Buckles, Elizabethton; three sons, Tommy Buckles, Ansonia, Conn., Lewis Buckles, Burton, Ohio, and Ronald Buckles, Mentor, Ohio; a step-daughter, Missy Russell, Elizabethton; a sister, Julia Dugger, Elizabethton; several grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
The graveside service and inurnment for all family and friends wishing to attend will be conducted at 11:30 a.m. Friday, June 13, at Mountain Home National Cemetery. Military Honors will be accorded by the Carter County Honor Guard.
