Glenda Faye Puckett Taylor

Glenda Faye Puckett Taylor, 66, Elizabethton, passed away Friday, May 16, 2014, at Hillview Health Center following an extended illness.
Glenda was a native of Carter County and a graduate of Unaka High School. She previously had worked at Levi, PSG and Unaka Elementary School.
Mrs. Taylor was a member of Caldwell Springs Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Michelle Taylor, and her father, William Carson Puckett Sr.
Survivors include her husband of 50 years, Roger Taylor; two sons, Shane Taylor and Crystal Campbell, Greeneville, and Adam Taylor and wife Teresa, Elizabethton; her grandchildren, Dustin, Jacob, Logan and Austin Taylor; her mother, Louise Honeycutt Puckett, Elizabethton; a brother, Billy Puckett and wife Marilyn, Elizabethton; and her special friends, Judy Pierce and Cindy Stout.
Graveside services for Mrs. Taylor will be conducted at 4:30 p.m. Monday, May 19, in the Caldwell Springs Cemetery with Dr. William Duncan and Rev. Gary Roe officiating. Interment will follow the service. Active pallbearers will be Adam, Shane, Dustin, Jacob, Logan and Austin Taylor and Billy Puckett. Honorary pallbearers will be her church family. The family would like to express a special “Thank You” to the staff of Hillview Health Center for the excellent care that was received. Friends may visit with the family at the residence or the residence of Adam Taylor. Friends may register their presence at the funeral home Monday until 4 p.m. Family and friends will assemble at the funeral home at 4 p.m. Monday to go to the cemetery.
