Two campers at the Wilbur Dam campground reported several items from their camp site had been taken sometime over the weekend.
Brittany Nave and Gregory Walsh told the Carter County Sheriff’s Department they had been camping near the Wilbur Dam boat ramp since May 9. They said they left the campground on Sunday, May 11, and returned Monday evening to find several items had been taken from their camp site.
Items reported missing were a tent, grill, cooler, Dremal tool, fishing box and various items of clothing. The estimated value of the items taken was $585.
