Jack Barker

Jack Barker,78, Elizabethton, passed away Sunday, April 27, 2014. in the Johnson City Medical Center following a short illness.
A native of Freeman, West Virginia, he was a son of the late Frank and Dolly Burton Barker. He had lived a number of years in Elizabethton.
Jack was retired from Super X Drug Stores. He opened Barkers Drive Through (Stoney Creek) 29 years ago. He was of the Baptist Faith.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers; Jerry Barker of Morristown and Jim Barker of Gray.
Leaving to cherish his memories are his wife of 32 years, Erma Lee Grindstaff Barker; three children, Ed Thompson and wife, Lhorie, Carolyn Blevins and husband, Shane, and Chrystal McAmis and husband, Ronnie; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; a brother, John Barker and wife, Carol; a sister, June Crowder and husband, Tim; several nieces and nephews; and two special people, Beulah Barker and Jewell Barker.
To honor Jack’s request there will be no formal services.
Memorial Funeral Chapel is in charge.
