In September 2013, signs were in the 400 to 700 blocks of East Elk Avenue between the lanes of traffic at each of the crosswalks in the downtown.
The signs were the first steps in an attempt to slow traffic through downtown for pedestrian safety.
While the signs have slowed traffic, City Manager Jerome Kitchens said the city staff would continue looking at making changes to the placement of the signs and installing additional traffic-calming devices in downtown.
We would like to know what Star readers think about the signs in the street at the crosswalk.
