MILLIGAN — Milligan University’s women’s flag football team begins its run at the NAIA national championships today in Kansas City, following an impressive 18-2 regular season.

The Buffaloes will open pool play this afternoon against Webber International University at the Kansas City Current Training Complex. On Tuesday, May 6, Milligan will face top-ranked Ottawa University, the four-time defending national champion.

Both games are part of pool play competition. Teams that advance will move on to a single-elimination tournament as they battle for the 2025 NAIA national title.

The tournament appearance marks a significant milestone for Milligan’s rapidly rising flag football program, which has quickly emerged as a national contender.
