MILLIGAN — Milligan University awarded more than 230 degrees during its spring commencement ceremonies held Saturday, May 3, in the Mary B. Martin Auditorium located in Seeger Chapel.
The degrees conferred included bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral degrees across a wide range of disciplines. The Spring 2025 graduating class included 22 Bachelor of Arts, 104 Bachelor of Science, 16 Bachelor of Science in Nursing, four Bachelor of Social Work, 12 Master of Arts in Coaching and Sport Management, 17 Master of Business Administration, six Master of Education, one Master of Science in Counseling, 25 Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies, six Master of Arts in Christian Ministries, one Master of Arts in Religion, 11 Master of Divinity, one Education Specialist, six Doctor of Education and one Doctor of Ministry.
The university held two ceremonies. The 10 a.m. ceremony honored graduates from the School of Arts and Humanities, the School of Bible and Ministry, and the William B. Greene Jr. School of Business and Technology.
Five students addressed the morning audience: Bethany Hicks of Sugar Grove, North Carolina; Ashley Roberts of Kingsport; Marinda Walls of Gray; Seth Bible of Telford; and Marcos Moreno Prado Filho of Cambara, Brazil. Each shared reflections from their academic journey while earning degrees in English, interactive media design, humanities, political science and business administration.
The 2 p.m. ceremony celebrated graduates from the School of Sciences and Allied Health and the School of Social Sciences and Education.
Speakers at the afternoon event included Ashley Brown of Knoxville, Joshua Osorio-Monzon of High Point, North Carolina, Suzanne Aguirre of Sarasota, Florida, Alexander Windham of Acworth, Georgia, and Charles Conner of Jonesborough. The students represented programs in chemistry, nursing, social work, psychology, sport management and education.
