Betsy Bananas keep winning streak alive with dominant run

The Betsy Bananas continued their impressive run through the April schedule, improving to 7-0 on the season with a 12-10 road victory over the Honey Badgers on Monday, April 28.

The win capped off a dominant month in which the Bananas outscored their opponents 86-34 and solidified their place as one of the most explosive teams in local baseball.

Monday’s game was the closest contest of the season for the Bananas, who relied on clutch hitting and key strikeouts to hold off a late rally by the Honey Badgers. The win followed a blowout victory over Atomic, 15-3.

Earlier in the month, the Bananas picked up wins over the LilLanders (15-7), Diamond Dogs (11-2), ECC Flames (6-3), Atomic (11-2) and the Honey Badgers (16-7).

Through seven games, the Bananas have tallied 12 home runs and recorded 71 strikeouts, showcasing a balanced attack on both sides of the ball.

With their undefeated streak intact and momentum on their side, the Betsy Bananas head into May as one of the teams to beat.
