William Jackson Lovelace Jr., age 67, of Elizabethton, Tennessee, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, April 29, 2025, at his home. William was born in Elizabethton to the late William Jackson Lovelace Sr. and Doris Bradshaw Lovelace. In addition to his parents, William was also preceded in death by a sister, Anna Lingerfelt; and several aunts and uncles.
William retired from Nuclear Fuel Services after 13 years of service and North American Rayon for 17 years. William had also worked as the OSHA coordinator and administrative assistant at Carter County Emergency Management. He enjoyed fishing, loved reading, music, movies and spending time with his family.
Those left to cherish William’s memory include his beloved wife, Michelle Skeans Lovelace; a daughter, Jasmine (Daniel) Bowman of Jonesborough; two sons, Jordan (Casey) Lovelace of Johnson City and Mathew (Amber) Henegar of Elizabethton; six grandchildren, Alex Bowman, Landon Bowman, Colton Lovelace, Adelyn Lovelace, Liam Henegar and Raelyn Henegar; and a nephew, Ben Broyles.
A gathering of remembrance will be conducted between the hours of 2 and 4 p.m. on Saturday, May 3, 2025, in the Chapel of Tetrick Funeral Home, Elizabethton.
Friends may call at the residence of 110 Hatfield Drive between the hours of 3 and 7 p.m. on Thursday and Friday.
