First Fridays in downtown Elizabethton begin May 2, and a new event offers a fun opportunity to get crafty. Crossroads Craftworks, the community arts center dedicated to promoting creativity, will host ART BAR on the first Friday of every month. Cohosted by Made on Elk pottery studio, this event offers a casual evening of creating and mingling.

ART BAR features a rotating menu of crafts, allowing attendees to sample and try different types of arts and crafts. “No experience needed, just bring your imagination,” said Ashlee Springer, owner of Made on Elk pottery. “Whether you’re painting, crafting or trying something new like clay, it’s all about playing around and unwinding.”

Items on the craft menu range in price from $5 to $20. Participants are welcome to try one craft or all of them.
