WEST JEFFERSON, N.C. — SkyLine Membership Corporation and its subsidiary, SkyBest Communications, are nearing the completion of a major broadband expansion project in Carter County. The company announced this week that the Little Milligan area is now officially online and ready for service.

More than 110 grant recipients in Carter County are already connected and experiencing high-speed broadband through the fiber network. The completion of Little Milligan is particularly significant, as the area faced multiple delays due to damage from Hurricane Helene. Despite these challenges, SkyLine/SkyBest crews remained committed to the project.

The next area slated for activation is Tiger Valley. SkyBest encourages residents to pre-register at fiber.skybest.com to prepare for service availability.
