Norma Paulette Buckles, 81, Elizabethton, passed away Monday, April 14, 2025, at her residence. She was born Oct. 20, 1943, in Elizabethton to the late Anderson and Veulah Nidiffer Stout. She was a graduate of Unaka High School. She had lived a number of years in Douglasville, Georgia, before returning to Elizabethton. She was an excellent seamstress. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Garrett Burns, and a brother, Virgil Stout.
Survivors include two sons: Gary (Carol) Buckles and Tony (Debbie) Buckles; a sister, Jean Parlier; nine grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday, April 21, 2025, in the Ensor Cemetery. Pallbearers will be selected from family and friends. Family and friends will assemble at the cemetery at 1:50 p.m. Monday. Condolences may be sent to the family at our website, www.memorialfcelizabethton.com.
