Elizabethton Police Department promotes Jason Mosier to captain

The Elizabethton Police Department has promoted Jason Mosier to the rank of captain. Mosier, who joined the department in November 2017 as a patrol officer, has served as a corporal since 2019.
He is currently a team leader on the department’s Special Response Team, a member of the Special Traffic Accident Reconstruction Team, and a certified bicycle patrol officer.
In addition to his field duties, Mosier is a field training officer and a defensive tactics instructor. He has also served as a school resource officer and traffic officer.
Prior to his tenure with the Elizabethton Police Department, Mosier worked with the Carter County Sheriff’s Department from 2013 to 2017.
As captain, Mosier will lead one of the department’s patrol shifts.
