Families Free to celebrate grand opening of Women’s Center in Elizabethton

Families Free, a nonprofit focused on empowering individuals and strengthening families, will celebrate the grand opening of its new Women’s Center in Elizabethton on April 15.

Located at 211 S. Main St., the center is designed to support individuals impacted by addiction, trauma and life challenges. The facility will offer a range of services, including counseling, peer support, life-skills training and community engagement programs.

“We are incredibly excited to open the Women’s Center in Elizabethton,” said Lisa Tipton, executive director of Families Free. “This facility represents a crucial step forward in our ongoing commitment to providing holistic, evidence-based care to those in need. By offering a safe space for healing and personal growth, we hope to inspire lasting change in the lives of our community members.”

The grand opening event will begin at 10 a.m. and will feature a ribbon-cutting ceremony, guided tours and opportunities for the public to learn more about the center’s services. The event is open to all.

Families Free serves Northeast Tennessee and provides programs focused on faith-based support, education and workforce readiness. The Women’s Center is the latest addition to the organization’s mission to help individuals overcome adversity and create sustainable futures.
