First Baptist Church Elizabethton and Trinity Methodist Church will join together to offer a time of worship and reflection on Maundy Thursday, April 17, at 7 p.m., to present “The Living Last Supper.”

This unique service will feature a reenactment of the Last Supper. The drama takes place in the Upper Room as each of the 12 apostles presents their monologues and reflections after hearing the Master say, “One of you will betray me.” The audience will watch Jesus and his 12 disciples participate in this final meal together.

After the drama, the congregation will share in a communion service.

“The disciples, as well as the audience attending, will be led to ponder the question: ‘Is it I, Lord?’ (Matthew 26:22), as we contemplate the ways in which we often betray our Savior and our God,” said First Baptist Church Elizabethton pastor Todd Hallman. “We invite everyone to join us and attend this special Holy Week service.”

First Baptist Elizabethton is located at 212 East F Street, Elizabethton.
