The Little Doe Baptist Church, Butler, will host the 157th annual spring meeting of the Watauga Baptist Association Thursday, Aug. 24, at 2 p.m.
The message will be presented by Don Winters, pastor of Sugar Grove Baptist Church.
The Rev. Jack Roddy, director of missions, said much of the focus of the spring meeting will be “celebrating the Lord’s work through our churches in disaster relief ministry following Hurricane Helene.”
Rev. Roddy noted that “God has done great things for which we desire to exalt him, giving him grateful praise.”
Plans are to review the work underway, which will include a PowerPoint presentation and testimonies from Pastor Travis Tyer and Disaster Relief Director Allen Matheson.
Little Doe Baptist Church is located at 325 Doe Creek, Butler.
The public is invited to attend; however, only church messengers will be allowed to vote on issues to come before the association.
