Judy Lynn Estep, age 75, of Elizabethton, Tennessee, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, March 30, 2025, at her home. Judy was born in Elizabethton to the late David and Ollie June (Campbell) Estep. In addition to her parents, Judy was also preceded in death by a brother, David Estep Jr.
Judy was a retired beautician and attended Hampton First Baptist Church. She loved being with her grandchildren.
Those left to cherish her memory include her daughter, Jennifer (Chris) Carter of Elizabethton; four grandchildren, Russell Carter, Seth Carter and Schaun (Britney) Carter, all of Elizabethton, and Bo (Courtney) Carter of North Carolina; two great-grandchildren, Kallie Carter and Ava Carter; and two sisters, Margaret Luttrell and Sandra “Diddle” Perkins, both of Elizabethton. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
A graveside service to celebrate Judy’s life will be conducted at 3 p.m. Thursday, April 3, 2025, in Highland Cemetery with Pastor Norman Markland officiating. Music will be under the direction of Traci Proffitt. Active pallbearers will be Chris Carter, Russell Carter, Seth Carter, Blake McKinney, David Underwood and Mike Nash. Those wishing to attend the graveside service are asked to meet at Tetrick Funeral Home of Elizabethton at 2:15 p.m. Thursday to go in procession to the cemetery.
Those who prefer memorials in lieu of flowers may make donations in honor of Judy to Hampton First Baptist Church, 407 First Avenue, Hampton, TN 37658.
