Johnson City Fire Department battles house fire on David Miller Road

JOHNSON CITY — The Johnson City Fire Department responded to a residential structure fire Tuesday night in the 2200 block of David Miller Road.
Firefighters were dispatched shortly after 8 p.m. on March 25. Upon arrival, crews reported visible flames and smoke coming from the home.
Despite the efforts of multiple JCFD units, along with support from the Embreeville Volunteer Fire Department and the West Carter County Fire Department, the home was destroyed.
No residents were home at the time of the fire. However, two family dogs died in the blaze. One JCFD firefighter sustained minor injuries.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation by the JCFD Fire Prevention Office.
