Pansy Sue Slagle, 64, of Elizabethton, passed away Wednesday, March 19, 2025, at her residence.
A native of Carter County, she was born Dec. 14, 1960, to Jimmy Ward and the late Delane Hartley Ward. She loved singing gospel music and loved to sew. She was of the Holiness faith.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Kenneth Hartley and Dean Bailey.
Survivors include her husband of 43 years, Joseph Slagle; five children, Jeffrey Guy Jr., Eric Guy and wife Jessica, Crystal Guy and husband Jeffrey Stines Jr., Kathy Slagle, and Joshua Slagle and wife Lucy; her father, Jimmy Ward; 11 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; one brother, Lenny Ward and wife Shirley; and one sister, Teresa Williams. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted at 3 p.m. Monday, March 24, 2025, in Memorial Funeral Chapel with Pastor Kim Casey officiating. Music will be provided by Shirley Ward. Interment will follow in Lyons Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be selected from family and friends.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 3 p.m. Monday, prior to the service.
