JOHNSON CITY – The East Tennessean, the student-run newspaper of East Tennessee State University, will host a pancake breakfast fundraiser on Saturday, March 22, from 8 to 10 a.m. at Aubrey’s restaurant in Johnson City.
The $5-per-person full breakfast consists of pancakes, eggs, bacon and a beverage.
All funds raised through this event will directly benefit the East Tennessean staff.
“The East Tennessean serves as an outlet for students to gain a wide range of experience and become connected with others across the region,” said Macy Strader, East Tennessean executive editor. “Your support helps us continue facilitating those opportunities for students.”
The East Tennessean is published up to twice weekly during ETSU’s fall and spring semesters and contains university-related news, features, sports and entertainment, as well as an editorial page with student opinions on a variety of issues. It provides experience to student writers and editors majoring in media and communication and numerous other academic disciplines.
Tickets will be available at the door the morning of the breakfast (cash only) and are also available in the Student Media Center on ETSU’s campus. The Student Media Center is on the second floor of the Culp Student Center, Room 240.
Aubrey’s is at 3029 Hamilton Place near Academy Sports.
