Boone, N.C., is preparing for an electrifying day of fun as MountainCon returns to Watauga High School! This year’s event will feature the ultimate celebration of all things comic books, superheroes and pop culture on March 15 from 1 to 5 p.m. The cosplay costume contest will begin at 4 p.m.

This year’s show will feature an impressive lineup of shopping, gaming, artists, speakers and cosplayers competing for trophy prizes. MountainCon will host more than 50 vendors this year, bringing a variety of goods, including comic books, food, retro video games, crocheted critters, Funko Pop figures, fan art, wands, potions, dice, candles, cosplay costumes, accessories and more.

This free event is open to everyone and will be an unforgettable experience for all ages. It is an event where fantasy meets reality and heroes leap from the pages of comic books into MountainCon 2025.

Watauga High School is located at 300 Go Pioneers Drive, Boone, N.C.
