Carter County boys basketball well represented in District 1-AA postseason honors

The District 1-AA postseason awards for boys basketball were announced, and Carter County athletes and coaches were well represented among the honorees.
Hampton High School led the way with four players named to the All-Conference team: Tuff Robinson, Bryce Fagan, Jayden Nave, and Chase Davenport. Happy Valley’s Austin Nickles was also recognized with All-Conference honors.
Hampton’s success continued with Coach Ned Smith earning Coach of the Year honors, while standout player Chase Davenport was named Underclassman of the Year, sharing the award with Johnson County’s Carter Atwood.
South Greene’s Chandler Gamble was named Player of the Year, while Sam Wisecarver of West Greene earned Defensive Player of the Year honors. South Greene’s Terry Hoese was also recognized as Coach of the Year, sharing the title with Smith.

Carter County continues to prove its strength in high school basketball, with local players and coaches making a significant impact in District 1-AA.
