Waylon Eugene Sellers, 10, Elizabethton, passed away Sunday, February 23, 2025, in the Johnson City Medical Center.
Waylon was born December 5, 2014, in Johnson City. He was a fourth-grade student at Central Elementary School. He loved the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. He was preceded in death by his grandparents: David Sellers, Lisa Wandell and Kimberly Graham.
Survivors include his father, Dillon Sellers; his mother, Brittney Lawson; his maternal grandparents, Terry and Crystal Lawson; his uncles and aunts, Nick Lawson and his daughter, Keira; Dalton Graham; Gloria and Cory Lewis and son, Jack Lewis; Kaitlin and Dustin Burkett and children, Aiden and Ryder; and Briana and Zack Cornely and Elaina.
A service to celebrate the life of Waylon will be conducted at 7 p.m. Friday, February 28, 2025, in Memorial Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Mark Newman officiating. Graveside service and interment will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 1, 2025, in the Blevins Cemetery.
Active pallbearers, who are requested to assemble at the funeral home at 9:20 a.m. Saturday, will be Michael Norton, Charlie Norton, Joe Coffman, Terry Lawson, Nicholas Lawson and Dustin Burkett. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday in the funeral home. Family and friends will assemble at the funeral home at 9:20 a.m. Saturday to go in procession to the cemetery.
