Brooklyn Adams, a 2024 graduate of Hampton High School and Carter County’s Middle College program, has been accepted into the Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) program at East Tennessee State University’s (ETSU) Gatton College of Pharmacy.
Thanks to the extensive college credits earned at Northeast State through the county’s Middle College program, Adams needed just one additional year of prerequisite coursework to qualify for ETSU’s pharmacy program. She was accepted into the highly competitive program in October at the age of 19 and will begin her studies in fall 2025.
Adams, a standout student and proud Hampton High graduate, also obtained her pharmacy technician certification at Unaka High School.
Gatton College of Pharmacy Statement

ETSU Gatton College of Pharmacy offers flexible admissions pathways, including an Early Admissions Pathway for ETSU students and freshmen, enabling them to earn both a B.S. and a PharmD in just six years.
