Connie Elaine Harrald, 71, Elizabethton, passed away Saturday, February 22, 2025, at her residence. She was born September 7, 1953, in Johnson City to the late Charles Houston and Arlys Belle Shell Higgins. She was a graduate of Cloudland High School. She formerly was employed at Denise Lingerie and Baughman Manufacturing Co. She was the proud owner of Harralds Auto Sales. Connie was a member of Valley Forge House of Prayer, where she served as secretary and treasurer.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Albert Harrald, who passed away June 9, 2018. She loved to travel, cook and sew.
Survivors include her children: Apryle Humphrey and husband Roy, and Michael Harrald and wife Janice; three grandchildren: Kimberly Goble and husband John, Dustin Humphrey and wife Hayley, and Michael Justin Harrald; four great-grandchildren: Lilah McKeen, Haven McKeen, Conner McKeen and Amelia Goble; three sisters: Kathie Mensch and husband Robert, Donna Ralston and husband John, and Janet Cowie and husband Bob; two brothers: Darrell Higgins and wife Irma, and Douglas Higgins and wife Stephanie; several nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews; and her special friends: Randy Tolley and Jimmy Anderson. Also surviving is her cat, Tazzy Roo.
Funeral services will be conducted at 7 p.m. Monday, February 24, 2025, in Memorial Funeral Chapel with Pastor Tim Simerly and Pastor Brandon Young officiating. Interment will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, February 25, 2025, in Pine Hill Cemetery, Bristol, Virginia.
Active pallbearers, who are requested to assemble at the cemetery at 10:50 a.m. Tuesday, will be Michael Harrald, Mason Whitehead, Roger Harrald, Randy Tolley, Roy Humphrey and John Goble. Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Valley Forge House of Prayer, Tony Russell, Sam Preslor, Tony Whitehead and Julius Oaks.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday in the funeral home. Family and friends will assemble at the cemetery at 10:50 a.m. Tuesday. Condolences may be sent to the family at our website, www.memorialfcelizabethton.com.
