Shelia Ann Faires of Hampton, Tennessee, passed away peacefully at NHC Healthcare in Johnson City on Sunday, Feb. 16, 2025, at the age of 69.
Shelia was born in Norfolk, Virginia, on March 27, 1955, to the late Clarence “Pete” Bowling and Viola Bowling. In addition to her parents, Shelia was also preceded in death by a brother, Tim Ninnemann.
Shelia worked as a cashier and loved her family dearly, especially her grandchildren.
Those left to cherish and remember Shelia include her husband, Jeffrey Faires; three children, David (Gena) Edwards of Jacksonville, Florida, Jennifer Powell of Elizabethton, and Aaron Bush of Johnson City; nine grandchildren; and two brothers, Pete Bowling and David Bowling of Fayetteville, North Carolina.
A private service will be held by the family at a later time.
Those who prefer memorials in lieu of flowers may make donations in memory of Shelia to the Carter County Animal Shelter, 135 Sycamore Shoals Drive, Elizabethton, TN 37643, or any local animal shelter.
