Elizabethton Police Chief Jason Shaw officially swore in Officer Tanner Potter as the newest member of the Elizabethton Police Department.

Potter, who recently completed his training at the police academy, joins the department with a commitment to serving and protecting the community.

“We are excited to welcome Officer Potter to the force,” Shaw said. “He has worked hard to get to this point, and we look forward to seeing him grow in his role.”

Potter will now begin field training with experienced officers as he transitions into his new position.
