Due to inclement weather, the Carter County Landfill is closed, and all City of Elizabethton Street and Sanitation staff have been diverted to snow removal.

As a result, garbage collection scheduled for Thursday, Feb. 20, has been delayed until Friday, Feb. 21. Crews will collect Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday routes on Friday.

Residents are encouraged to place their garbage out early to ensure timely pickup.
