MORRISTOWN — The National Weather Service in Morristown has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for portions of East Tennessee, in effect from 2 a.m. Wednesday until midnight Wednesday night.

Snow accumulations of up to 1 inch are expected, with hazardous road conditions likely, especially on bridges and overpasses. The snowfall could impact both the Wednesday morning and evening commutes, officials said.

Temperatures are expected to drop into the teens by Thursday morning, potentially causing any remaining moisture on roads to freeze, making travel hazardous.
