An on-campus controversial art exhibition at East Tennessee State University (ETSU) has caused debate among students, faculty and religious groups. Some see it as an important statement on inclusivity, while others, like me, see it as offensive and blasphemous.
The controversial artwork, created by student artist Max Graham, portrays Jesus in various transgender representations, including one piece where Jesus is depicted with makeup and feminine features. The Tennessee Star reported members of local Christian organizations called the artwork “deeply disrespectful” and “an attack on their faith.”
Every religion should consider it an attack on their faith and disrespectful. You would never see an artist do this to the Muslim leader. Every major religion for over 5,000 years agrees transgender behavior is unhealthy and should be discouraged. Biden supported allowing children to become transgender against the wishes of their parents. Biden made transgender leaders in our military and government. Trump is removing them from leadership. According to the book Blood Money, China has been the biggest supporter and promoter of transgenderism in America to lower the population, destroy the family and help bring on communism!
President Kennedy said in 1961, “We will put men on the moon.” President Obama said in 2016, “We will put men in women’s restrooms.” The major media and the Obama and Biden administrations ignored science and the experts in the transgender debate. Transgender expert Dr. Paul McHugh, the former psychiatrist-in-chief for Johns Hopkins Hospital, said, “Transgenderism is a mental disorder that merits treatment and sex change is biologically impossible.”
Dr. McHugh is author of six books and reported the suicide rate among transgender people who had sex change surgery is 20 times higher than the suicide rate among non-transgender people. This high rate of suicide showed surgery will not solve their problems. Dr. McHugh said people who encourage sex change surgery are promoting a mental disorder. Dr. Michelle Cretella said studies have established that teens who identify as transgender have an increased risk of mental health problems such as depression, self-harm, eating disorders and suicide. We need more Christian counselors in Elizabethton, like Briann Scott and Art Webb.
Sex change is biologically impossible. No matter how you feel, no matter how much surgery you have, no matter how many hormones you take, you can never change the biological fact that every single cell in your entire body is branded XX or XY. The XX and XY chromosomes are a biological fact. Anorexics say they’re fat when they’re objectively not, and they’re correctly called “mentally ill” and are given needed therapy. Transgenders say they’re male or female when they’re objectively not and are called brave and a protected class by Obama and Biden. A high percent of transgenders are autistic and were convinced they would be happier in a different gender. Jesus would want us to tell transgenders he loves them and wants them to be who God created them to be at birth. The Bible says dress in the way that reflects who God made us: “A woman shall not wear a man’s garment, nor shall a man put on a woman’s cloak, for whoever does these things is an abomination to the Lord your God” (Deuteronomy 22:5).
The Bible says God isn’t the author of confusion. Satan’s agenda is to cause confusion/chaos so that nothing makes real sense anymore. One of the curses God allows on evil countries like America is madness/insanity, according to Deuteronomy 28:28. We are seeing this as there are so many with mental problems. Woodridge in Johnson City is often full. In Romans 1, it declares a nation that rejects God over and over will become vain, useless, futile or foolish in their thinking. Despite claiming to be so wise and so smart, the nation will become so foolish in their thinking that they will accept spiritual deception and accept spiritual lies and false teaching. Feelings aren’t dependable. Transgenders say they were born with feelings that they are the wrong gender. The good news is Jesus loves them and they can be born again and become God’s child.
The end result often of transgenders trusting their feelings is suffering, insanity and death by suicide. The end result of living by faith in Jesus and turning from sin and self always is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, meekness, self-control and eternal life!
