First Christian
The singing group Heritage from Milligan University will sing Sunday at First Christian Church in Elizabethton.
Sunday worship will begin at 9:45 a.m. Minister Michael Klaus has begun a new sermon series titled “Jesus Over Everything: The Book of Hebrews.”
Bible study will be held Wednesday at 6 p.m. There will be Bible study for adults and classes for all ages.
First Christian has a food pantry. Persons needing a food box are asked to call the church office at 423-542-5651 to make an appointment.
First Christian is located at 513 Hattie Ave.
Valley Forge Free Will
The Rev. Hoy Duncan will preach Sunday, Feb. 23, at Valley Forge Free Will Baptist Church.
The morning service will begin at 10:45 a.m., with Youth Night celebrated at the 6 p.m. service.
The youth choir will sing for the evening service.
All youth are invited. Following the service, there will be Glow Volleyball and refreshments by the Turning Point Class.
The Rev. Randy Johnson is pastor.
First Methodist
Ash Wednesday will be celebrated at First United Methodist Church with a special service on Wednesday, March 5, at 6 p.m.
Also, the pastor, the Rev. Robert Countiss, will begin a special Lenten Bible study Wednesday, March 12, at 6 p.m. The study will continue through April 9.
