Larry Stewart “Doughball” Stevens, 78, of Butler, passed away at home on Jan. 27, 2025. He was the son of the late Carmon and Alice Moner Stevens.

Larry retired from the United States Navy. He enjoyed deer hunting and was a fisherman. Larry was a member of Bible Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Ivalee Birchfield Stevens; daughter, Heather Stevens; and grandchildren, Kayla Grindstaff and Camden Stevens. Larry was also the community Papaw and honorary Papaw of Daegan and Jaylan Weaver.

A service will be held at Memorial Funeral Chapel on Thursday, Jan. 30, 2025, at 7 p.m. with the Rev. Frank Osborne officiating. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Interment will be at Mountain Home National Cemetery at 11 a.m. on Jan. 31, 2025. Family and friends are requested to meet at the cemetery at 10:45 a.m. Military honors will be provided.

Active pallbearers will be Jim Birchfield, Logan Birchfield, Josh Benfield, Charlie Bise, Collin Bise, Carl Widner, Camden Stevens and Daegan Weaver.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Awana Club at Bible Baptist Church.
