Nancy Louise Church-Harmon, a pillar of love, kindness and devotion, passed away on January 22, 2025 surrounded by loved ones. She will be deeply missed by her family and all those whose lives she touched.

A loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Nancy’s greatest joy was her family. Her selfless love, guidance and support inspired countless memories and shaped the lives of those around her.

Nancy had a passion for the outdoors, particularly fishing, which she enjoyed with her sisters, creating cherished moments and lifelong traditions. As an active member of Beech Mountain Baptist Church, Nancy embodied the values of faith, compassion and community. Her unwavering commitment to her church family was a testament to her strong faith and generous spirit. 

To those who knew her, Nancy was more than just a kind soul. She was the epitome of kindness. Her gentle heart, warm smile and generous nature earned her the admiration and affection of everyone she met. Though she may be gone, Nancy’s legacy of love, kindness and devotion will continue to inspire and uplift her family and community. She will be deeply missed but her memory will be cherished forever.

Nancy was preceded in death by her husband, Darrell Harmon; her brothers, Dennis Church, Owen Church and Leslie Church and his wife Nona Church; her mother, Louise Church, and her father, Norman Church; her sister, Merle Irick and her husband Jack and her sister Judy and her husband Sam.

Left to cherish her memory are her brother Tony Church and wife Debbie, brother Keith Church and wife Reba, daughter Vicky Maya Bobadilla and husband Adrian, son Tim Harmon and wife Michele, grandson David Mallard and wife Beth, granddaughter Heather Guy and husband Richie, granddaughter Amber Maze, granddaughter Alexis Harmon, granddaughter Katrina Harmon, grandson Jamie Harmon, grandson Cody Gordon and several great-grandchildren.

A visitation will be conducted for family and friends between the hours of 6 and 8 p.m. Saturday, January 25, at Tetrick Funeral Home of Elizabethton.

A celebration of Nancy’s beautiful life will be conducted at 1 p.m. Sunday, January 26, at Beech Mountain Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. David Burnap officiating. 

The graveside service will follow in the Harmon Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be selected from family and friends. Words of sympathy may be shared with the family by visiting our website at www.tetrickfuneralhome.com.
