The Elizabethton/Carter County Public Library is inviting community members to participate in a new monthly event, Front Porch Storytellers: A Sharing of Your Story or Song, from 2 to 3:30 p.m. at the library, located at 201 N. Sycamore St. in Elizabethton. Space is limited to 10 participants to ensure a small, welcoming group of storytellers, singers, and listeners without the pressure of performing for a large audience. Registration is free but required to take part in this special event. For more information or to sign up, contact Mary Jane at 423-491-9275.
