Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...

~Psalm 139:14: I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; Marvelous are your works.

Maggie Sue Lunsford, 7 months old, passed peacefully into the loving arms of Jesus on January

6, 2025. She was born to Jerry and Alexis Lunsford, on May 28, 2024. Maggie Sue was a beautiful, wonderful, happy, loving baby girl who loved her big brother dearly. She brought happiness and smiles to everyone around her and was dearly loved. Her smile was the light in even the darkest room. She loved her blanket, watching SpongeBob, trying new foods, especially pickles and Reese Cups. She was a regular attendee of East River Park Christian Church, providing smiles to everyone.

Her loving memory will be cherished by her parents; as well as a big brother, Jerry Lunsford III; her grandparents, J. Todd Bowers, Sylvia Day, and Jerry and Kelly Lunsford; great-grandparents, JC and Roberta Bowers and James and Glenda Chapman; uncles, Kody (Kenzie) Lauderback, Jacob Lauderback and Levi Lunsford; aunts, Jamie (Jerry) Tolley, Finley Bowers and Fallon Bowers; cousin, Devynne Lauderback; Godmother, Jayci Bowers; great aunts, Terry (Jamie) Wood, Tracy (Barry) White, Michelle Bowers and Leanne (Keith) Combs; great uncles, Mike (Kathy) Lunsford, Bob (Missy) Lunsford, Steven (Robin) Lunsford, and Brian (Cheri) Chapman; and many loving great cousins, friends of the family and of sweet Maggie.

The family would like to thank everyone: family, dear friends, East River Park family, Preacher Jason Payne, the Hampton and Roan Mountain communities, anyone who has contributed support, love, food and donations. The family has been overwhelmed and moved by the outpouring of love and it will never be forgotten.

A service to celebrate Maggie Sue’s sweet life will be conducted at 1 p.m. Tuesday, January 14, at East River Park Christian Church with Mr. Jason Payne, minister, officiating and music under the direction of Bo McGee and a celebration of her life eulogy by her Godmother, Jayci Bowers. The family will receive friends at the church between the hours of 12 and 1 p.m., prior to the celebration of life. The graveside service will be held privately.
