Nadine McAmis Davis, 76, of Elizabethton, Tenn., passed away on Friday, January 3, 2024, at Franklin Woods Community Hospital. Nadine was born in Elizabethton to the late Charles Buford McAmis and Virginia Pauline Tester McAmis. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Daniel Craig Davis, and a sister, Pat Bishop.

Nadine was a retired LPN for Hillview Health Center and Hermitage Health Center of Elizabethton and had also worked for Dr. Gastineau. She was a member of Poplar Grove Baptist Church and enjoyed sewing and taking care of her family. Nadine also enjoyed watching the L.A. Dodgers, watching her grandson coaching college basketball, and playing with her great-nieces and nephews.

Survivors include her children, Anthony Chad Davis and Whitney Lynn Davis, both of Elizabethton; two grandsons, Billy Bales and special friend Megan of Richmond, Va., and Danny Bales and special friend Morgan of Buford, S.C.; three brothers and their special friends, Sammy McAmis (Linda Dial) of Watauga, Blaine McAmis of Elizabethton and Ronnie McAmis (Sue) of Elizabethton; her brother-in-law, Byron Bishop of Johnson City; her sister, Deborah Steele of Elizabethton; three special nieces, Kristen Cannon (Eric) of Elizabethton, Dr. Lindsey Gouge (Andrew) of Greenville, S.C., and Julia Breedlove (Zach) of Gray, Tenn.; two special great-nieces, Abbi Cannon of Elizabethton and Nora Gouge of Greenville, S.C.; five special great-nephews, Brady Cannon of Elizabethton, Cole Gouge of Greenville, S.C., Davis Breedlove of Gray, Nolan Gouge of Greenville, S.C., and Hudson Breedlove of Gray; her best friends, Rondal and Jannice Oliver; her special friends, Terry and Peggy Morrell, Dallas and Kim Williams, Estel Taylor, Evelyn Grindstaff, Richard Potts and Edith Sherels; and several nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be conducted for family and friends between the hours of 5 and 7 p.m. Sunday, January 12, at Tetrick Funeral Home of Elizabethton.

A private graveside service will be conducted at a later date in the Davis Family Cemetery with Pastor Eric Wright officiating and special speaker, Ronnie McAmis. Words of sympathy may be shared with the family by visiting our website at www.tetrickfuneralhome.com.
