Elizabethton Parks and Recreation to host 6th Annual LEGO®: Think Outside the Blocks event

Elizabethton Parks and Recreation, in partnership with the Elizabethton/Carter County Public Library, is excited to present the 6th annual LEGO®: Think Outside the Blocks community event in celebration of National LEGO® Day. This free event, open to all ages and skill levels, will take place on Thursday, Jan. 25, from 6-8 p.m. at the Elizabethton Recreation Center, located at 300 W. Mill St., Elizabethton.
Participants can look forward to a fun-filled evening of creativity and competition with a variety of activities, including:
- Free-Building Time: Unleash your creativity, share tips and techniques, and gain inspiration from fellow LEGO® enthusiasts.
- Timed Competitions: Test your building skills in a series of timed challenges for all ages and abilities, with prizes provided by Get Bricked in Johnson City.
- Foam Brick Play Area: A dedicated area for younger children to join in the fun with large foam bricks.
- Food Trucks: Enjoy delicious offerings from Crave: Hot Dogs & BBQ and Diggy Donuts, with seating available inside the competition area.
“We are excited to bring back this event for another year,” said Emma Massick, Programs and Special Events Coordinator for Elizabethton Parks and Recreation. “I am looking forward to seeing the creativity, imagination, and great ideas that will be on display. LEGO® brings everyone together in a unique way, and I’m happy to be part of an event that welcomes all ages to participate and have fun!”
All LEGO® bricks will be provided, and no registration is required. Whether you’re a seasoned LEGO® builder or just starting out, this event promises something for everyone to enjoy.
