The Elizabethton Parks and Recreation Department is thrilled to announce its administrative staff has relocated to the Tetrick Community Center, formerly the Franklin Fitness Center, located at 1509 W. Elk Ave. behind Sycamore Shoals Hospital. The new facility will officially open to the public on Monday, Jan. 6, 2025.

The move allows the department to continue providing its standard services, including pavilion and facility reservations, athletic league registrations, and general park information. Additionally, the relocation brings the reopening of the walking track, a 220-foot indoor loop designed for year-round use. Walkers can complete one mile by walking 24 laps around the track.

The walking track will be open to the public during regular business hours, Monday through Friday, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., excluding the lunch hour from noon to 1 p.m.
