The Carter County Sports Hall of Fame Holiday Tournament, held Dec. 26–31 at the Elizabethton Parks and Recreation Center, brought together teams from across the region for a week of spirited competition. Sponsored by the Johnson City Eye Clinic, the tournament featured middle school boys and girls, varsity, junior varsity, and high school JV divisions.
Cloudland JV Girls Crowned Champions
In the high school JV girls division championship, the Cloudland JV girls defeated the Hampton High JV girls to secure the title, showcasing strong teamwork and determination.
Hunter Tigers Take Eighth-Grade Crown
The Hunter Tigers claimed victory in the eighth-grade tournament championship, adding another accolade to their season.
Indian Trail Edges Hampton in Thrilling Finish
In a nail-biting finale, Indian Trail pulled off a narrow one-point victory over the Hampton seventh-grade boys in the middle school JV boys division, winning 40-39.
The tournament provided an opportunity for players to compete at a high level and demonstrated the depth of talent across the region’s schools.
