The January 6, 2025 meeting of the Washington County Federated Republican Women at the Jonesborough Visitors Center will feature talks by Melisa Winburn, CEO of Appalachian Service Project (ASP), and Nick Castle, field representative for Senator Bill Hagerty.
Melisa Winburn will discuss the specific needs in the area that ASP is focused on and how the club can help. ASP is the group’s Caring for America service project for the first quarter of 2025. Nick Castle will provide an update on key legislation and discuss Senator Hagerty’s priorities as Republicans take control of the Senate.
Doors open at 11:30 a.m., with an optional lunch available. The meeting begins at noon.
The WCFRW welcomes new members. Membership is not limited to Washington County residents. Any interested women are welcome, and men are encouraged to join as associate members.
The WCFRW, established in the mid-1940s, is chartered by the Tennessee Federation of Republican Women and the National Federation of Republican Women. Meetings are held on the first Monday of each month at the Jonesborough Visitors Center, 117 Boone St. Meetings feature interesting speakers, including elected officials and candidates for local and statewide offices, making them both informational and educational.
